Another noObie here, this time from Norway!

Don know if this is the right place for a "project" type of topic, but i will sure upload lot of pics for ya;)

Ive been riding Supermotor since july this year, only at street but testet few times at track to.

Its a 2008 510SMR

Ive just ordered Carbon front fender from a KTM530, this one looks way better then the husky fender!

RIght now i have custom graphics made by Rideindustries in canada! (super quality) All plastic is changed from red and black to all white!

last weekend a small dealer organised a trackday in bruges on a small course normally used by driving schools.

for us this was a unique event because in our area, flanders to be more specific, there are no tracks around and the overall public opinion on motorised sports is far from great.

the dealer is a TM distributor and the idea was to organise a trackday for 30 riders and also give people the oppurtunity to testride a couple of TM bikes, the 530 smr and 660 smx.

the day started out wet on a rather chilly november morning. good thing I put my bike on rain tyres so I could still have some fun out there. later that day things started to clear out and the track dried up. it was a blast, the track wasn’t all that big but it was fun with a couple of really technical and some faster sections. Adrien van dommele also came out to play, he’s one of the top riders in the country. his family is the importer for TM here in belgium so it’s no surprise he’s putting his skills to use on a built 450 smr (65 hp claimed) and a prepped 660 smx (80 hp claimed).

we hope to organise more events like this in the future. usually when we hit the track we always got at least a 2 hours drive ahead of us, this time I was 20 minutes from home which was kind of nice. got home and was stil able to clean my gear and the bike before it got dark.

so a few weekends ago was out riding on highway 49 , and the motor shut down , put the bike in the back of a buddies truck . went home and found the spark plug end smashed , pulled the motor out the bike shipped it to Eddie and this is what he found , result of the autopsy are one of the intake valve seats fell out and caused the havoc. basically,this would have happened at some point even on the stocker.

ive only seen it 2 other times out of the all of the drz motors ive fixed.

Considering this mod, would like to see you guys posts your XRRs if you’ve done this mod to see what they look like.

so i found out my firblade rims won’t work… cause i don’t have a good selection of tires that are 16′ in the front :rant:

anyways, so before i take them back to my buddy to switch them out for the modern 3blade type that are on most sportbikes now adays, im not quite sure i like the look (my personal preference i just hate the 3blade look)…

so i was wondering if anyone had any pics of the 3blade rims off a sportbike that are now on a supermoto i could use as reference?

or maybe a good website that sells some good 16′ 120/70/r16 tires???

a guy sent me some pics he found from a local race back in ‘07. it was my first ever competition and conditions were, well… interesting

for the record, in heat race 1 I went down every single lap :laughingr. heat race 2 was more fun, track marshals finally got the hint that the little piece of tarmac right after the offroad section that was covered in en inch of mud could use some cleaning up, so they got a little dozer to scrape away the dirt which helped A LOT!

at the end of the day I needed 30 minutes of constant jet washing to get all the hardened mud off my bike. my catch can was lost in a big chunk of dirt

Ok, so here it is. Left is electrosport POS and right is the ProRacing…As you can see the ProRacing looks to built alot better. Even has some real screws to hold shit together. Also, looks as though there is a few added ground wires on the ProRacing. So ad for the looks of the build, IMO im going to have to say that is an in house stator. Which should have nothing to do with electrosport. I’m gonna get it in the bike later and give it hell all weekend. I will post back and let you guys know how its going…IMO, if its gonna burn up. Then i’ll have it burnt up before the weekend is over, LoL….Atleast im gonna ride it like im trying to burn it up….=-)

This took over 6 weeks to arrive in the mail but I finally got it hooked up.

The look and sound is awesome! Note the straight shot through the inside…

It’s loud but not as extreme as others are making it seem. It’s definitely a much deeper tone than the stock exhaust which gives a pretty good feeling of power when you rev the bike up.

This should help out down here in Houston where drivers don’t tend use their eyes too much while driving (…or their brains for that matter). The added exhaust note should alert some drivers of my presence and keep those assholes from changing lanes right where I happen to be driving.

After getting rid of my naked/barred F4 that I logged 50K on I picked up a 400SM to scoot me around town. I haven’t been happier with my decision, its soo much fun!

I also race sportscars in the SCCA for Autocross and NASA @ Summit point.

ive got a hornet 600 at the moment, stuck on some renthal handlebars for the wider, more over the front position, and learnt how to wheelie.
only in 1st gear…clutch ups, but its a start.

i no supermotos are easier than most bikes to wheelie, but HOW much easier are they? what was your learning experience like? easy? hard? crashes? techniques? etc…

decided to make my way up the mt washington auto road this weekend. It was a pretty good day for it but as you can see it was a bit chilly at the top.

overall it was a pretty neat experience and the roads getting there are fun. I took a number of the dirt roads I end up riding my snowmobile on once the snow hits and they close them to car traffic. I’m glad I have the distanzias
