  • Thank you

    hi guys, its noah.
After the news with the red bull rookies cup being cancelled Myself along with my Dad were devastated to say the least. But in the past few months we have had people that we have met through racing call and just say," i am just so bummed for you man." or, "it will be alright bud, keep going." and help from everyone and i want to thank you all for that and let you know that it means alot to me. just so you know, we have not at all quit but have just taken it as another challenge on the road to success. and i want to thank a few in particular for their physical and phsychological assistance to me, Matt Spencer, Don Roberts, Terry Groulx, Greg Jensen at supermoto Pro, Jamie Shambarger and if i have left any of you out, please dont take any offense i am sorry. thanks for all the words of encouragment and sharing ideas with me.

    thank you all, noah

  • Found a Battery… Will It Work?

I found a battery at work. It’s a cute little 6V rechargeable deal and it only weighs a pound or so. Does anyone run a 6V system? I can’t pass up a free battery if it might actually work… It’s rated 4AH/20 hrs.
    Anyone know?

  • 03 525 MXC purchase advice

Posted this as part of my iintroduction. Then stumbled around and realized it probably belongs in here. Sorry for the repost. ANy feedback is appreciated.
Hey all. Long time listener, first time caller. Been lurking for a bit. I live in Las Vegas currently ride a GSXR 750. I have been riding my buddies WR 400SM off and on for past couple months, I want to add a SM to my collection. I found a 03 525 MXC. I am looking for feedback on this deal. Bike has never been down, is clean as clean gets, hardly ever ridden, it has extremely low hours, and it looks it. Comes with all the original dirt stuff, which was never even used. All parts for SM conversion purchased new through KTM at time of purchase of bike. 320mm rotor, 4 piston caliper, renthal bars, can’t remember which triple clamps, yosh exhaust, carb jetted, bike tuned on dyno by our local dyno guru here in Vegas. Comes with the bigger desert gas tank, baja designs light kit, he added electric start to it. He wants 3500 but he is out of work and kind of hurting, so I’m thinking I should be able to grind him to 3. Any thoughts on this deal? Thankyou.

  • Amp Link-Product Review

There has been alot of controversy about the Amp Link. Whether it works or whether it doesnt. My banshee came with one of these billet, nice looking contraptions, but I have not gotten to use it until now. The basic idea is to let the tension of the chain be released into the sprockets. Take your front brake, give it some gas, and let off of the clutch. Your suspension will buckle and heighten. The Amp Link takes this principle away, allowing for more traction and a harder acceleration meaning more of a chance at the hole shot. When I first put mine back on there were a couple things that needed modified. The flywheel cover gets in the way, so the outer edge must be trimmed. It takes nothing to do though as it is made of plastic. One more thing is that the chain needs an extra link to do this. I can say it did make an improvement on acceleration, the suspension feels like you are not even under load even at full throttle. This design definitely works and the traction is unbelieveable. I find myself hooking up better than my competitors even though my tires are almost gone. The Amp Link is available for the Blaster, The banshee, The Warrior, The 300EX, And the Trx250X. Rumor has it that we will be seeing a 400EX version soon.
Overall this product does what is says, and is better than stock, so I give that a 10.

  • What Ohm Resistor /w LEDS?

So I replaced my stock signals and rear tail light with the DRC edge tail light and some flush mounts. Now my signals blink fast almost like they dont blink at all and the lights are signals are pretty dim.

I have resistors accessible to me so i figure I could try that route before purchasing a relay.

so which Ohm resistor did you guys use with your LEDs?

It was great racing and the weather held out nicely (it had rained in the am).

  • Need Empty Parking lot Suggestions – San Diego

For years I did private training at the same lot near sea world in san diego. Even taught a couple of cops to ride there, until a newbie park ranger kicked us out for "liability reasons"

So I found another lot, empty school district utility lot that I used for the last 6 months until a cop today told me "I know you’re not hot rodding, but this is public property and for liability reasons you can’t ride here." Keep in mind 25mph is about the top speed, and car drivers don’t seem to have any problems learning at either spot. after a shit month of loosing bikes in a house fire/poverty/moving this is a decent blow since that’s how I pay the bills. Well half of em anyway.

So do you guys have suggestions of empty parking lots in san diego? Other option would be a empty culdesac/dead end or industrial areas. Empty on weekdays is a super bonus. needs to be big enough for a newbie to get up to third and back/ make a second gear u-turn, and low key enough to not be a bust. just post up a maps link.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Flasher for LED blinkers – AC System!

Does anyone make a flasher for LED blinkers that will work on AC? My 426 doesn’t have a battery and I’m fine without one, but my system is AC and the flasher that came with my setup from Procycle was for DC only. Didn’t realize it until it quit working. It did work briefly. Not their fault, I didn’t think about it when I was ordering everything.

I guess I could put a diode on the wire that powers the flasher…
