looking for red plastic for drz sm

I finally got my GSX-R 750, up on E-bay. So I have about 7 days til the end of the auction and another 7 until I go ahead and get another bike. I want something out of the box. Here is what I am down to, either the Aprilia SXV 550, or the KTM 690 SMC. While, I love the Suzuki brand I just don’t think the DRZ would have have the power I’d like, coming off a great 750. Also, I have decided on these 2 because there are dealers in the area (no Husky) So what’s up? Is 1 of these drastically better than the other? Would I be more than happy with either? Reliability is also a key point (I don’t like being in the shop). All advice is welcome. I am hoping to be riding something new in a couple of weeks so now is the time for experienced suggestions. I was wondering what has to be done to get my Husqvarna sm 610, 2000 modell, to get it full power, max.
Atm its only 34 hk, but i do have power muffler, but it seems its forced down to middelweight. So i would get very pleased for tips and answers

Le championnat Supermoto Québec de 5 courses est annulé.
Cela ne touche pas la Supermoto X fest qui est toujours au calendrier le 1er et 2 aout, et qui proposera une course Suzuki 400 DRZ.

Ci dessous le communiqué officiel :

"La psychose de la crise est trop forte :
Pas de championnat Supermoto Québec cette année.

Le journal Sport Moteur et l?association Supermoto Québec ont travaillé fort pour proposer une formule de course comprenant des manches de Supermotard, Scooter et mini motos sur un même circuit, pour minimiser les coûts de fonctionnement et rendre accessible les courses aux compétiteurs.

Alors que Suzuki Canada a répondu présent pour la partie Supermoto, la partie scooter n?a récolté aucune commandite. Cela est paradoxal, au moment où le marché du scooter est l?un des seuls marchés en hausse continue depuis cinq ans.

Devant ces défections, l?organisation préfère abandonner avant d?engager d?autres dépenses ou forces vives de façon inutile.
Le milieu de la course est globalement touché. Les coupes de budgets de compétitions sont nombreux, et les même les meilleurs pilotes ou teams en font les frais.

Fait également nouveau : les spectateurs sont moins nombreux, comme c?est le cas à la dernière course de Nascar qui a subi une baisse de 25% sur le nombre de billets vendus.

Il nous est difficile d?apporter un nouveau signal négatif à la morosité ambiante. Mais le milieu sportif n?a pas besoin de courses avortées et de fausses promesses. Aucun pilote, aucune organisation n?a déposé d?argent. Nous nous retirons avant d?engager qui que ce soit. Nous vous remercions de votre confiance et nous espérons vous reproposer un championnat dès que les signaux économiques seront repassés au vert.

as a tech i get to hear about what we are expecting in the shop. and well, i got the word today that we should be expexting a vor 503 sumo(at least thats what i think my boss said,:hmmm: i was ballz deep in a motor). i have never worked on a vor let alone seen one. i got a little of the scoop on this bike and the owner says it blew i cam gear. and as we know it has no cam chain but multipul gears operating the valvetrain. has anyone worked on one of these beauties and if so have you got any helpfull hints or insight, to make my job any easier and if anyone can give me a link on where these parst may be would that would be great thanks guys

Just picked up an 08 WR 250X and I’m wondering what mods would be the first. Well after the turn signals, mirrors and tail lights that is. I am making templates for graphics but I’m looking to get what I need on order and in stock so I can begin the continuance of Hooliganism! I’ll post pics in the morning

The 2009 schedule is up for one of the longest running Supermoto series in the U.S. Right now it looks like 2 Saturday/Sunday race weekends with possible pit bike and endurance races added to the usual fare.

I expect it to be just like usual, more fun than should be legal.

I’m wanting to buy a dirt bike/supermotard. I’m looking at XRs, CRFs, DRZs, or WRs. What i’m wanting to do is have a dirt bike for the weekends and a street bike for the week. My biggest questions is whats the difference between a 250, 400, 450 on the street, I have driven most of them on the dirt, but not on the street. I would also like to keep it cheap, no more than 4000 if possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to any one that answers.

Brand new to the forum, and brand new to the SM group. Just purchased an 07 DRZ400SM from a friend of mine. Here is the background. He bought it in 07 and threw a bunch of cash at it. Removed all the yellow stuff and replaced it with black. Bigger tank. Fatbars. ASR levers and perches on both sides. FMF Q2 full pipe w/ jet kit. 3×3. Tail kit with lights and blinkers all the way around. Cyclopes headlight. Clark gas caps (2 – one is black / one is billet aluminum). Can’t see $h!t mirrors. Lots of other little stuff.

I just received the SDG seat from the big brown truck today and put it on. Waiting for the black fork protectors to show up and it will be complete.

Well, I bought a new pro taper seven eights bar for my 05 SM. When I was installing it, I had to sand down two mounting tabs off the switches and noticed that I couldn’t install the stock bar end weights because of the smaller inside diameter of the pro taper bar compared to the stock bar.

My question…

I noticed that the 07 bar end weights are a different number same with the rubber piece that fits in the bar that the bar end weights mount to. Will these fit my new pro taper bar that has the smaller inside diameter?
