Just bought a 2003 yz250f and the entire motor is being rebuilt with all new parts and bored to a 310cc. I’m just wondering about how much hp i will have? any help would be nice.

I took my fuel tank off the other day and re-installed it today. When I went to start my bike the exhaust popped and bike made a funny noise(hard to discribe but I guess it was the fuel pump or FI system). I looked down and it appears my cold start button was out further than usual(not sure though). I tried to start it without using the cold start button and it started OK but the low fuel light came on even though I’ve got at least two litres in the tank.

Anyone know what’s wrong? How far should the cold start button come out? When I pull it out there’s about an inch of the metal thing showing behind the black button. It looks a bit longer but I’m not sure. How much petrol should be in the tank before the reserve light comes on? What was the funny noise when I tried to start with the cold start button out?

Hey, So I’m tearing down my forks to revalve, following the tear down guide from Borynack and I’ll do the valving like rhythmofbeing did on his build

Thing is, once I got it all apart, and looking at the service manual, it looks like I’m missing the "rebound springs". It doesnt look like anyone’s been into these before so I’m wondering, is this something Honda left out on some years or, should these indeed be in there, do I need to get some for when I reassemble this?

Anyone use K&N oil filters on their SMRs?
I can get them super cheap at work, in a day along with my oil.
But If the KTM OEM filters are better, I’ll stock up on them

93 mph on my wr250x??? uphill? from a stop? I admit to speeding .. was going around 65 in a 45, I may have hit 70 on the downside of the hill completely out of their view.

They were in a parking lot and had view of me for about an 1/8 mile. From where I left a stoplight tell I went OVER a hill. I was stopped at the stop light over the hill for more than 10 seconds before they came over the hill.

Just curious if anyone is using this jacket and if they have any input on it. I need a better jacket for when its cold, and the guy at the store said this was the best one. If not what is everyone wearing jacket wise?

i know this is SUPERMOTO junkie, and the opinions may be biased, but im looking to get another bike, i now have a 06 gsxr 750, i love that thing, its quick as hell, will run 180, and handles like a dream, im looking for somthing that can be ridden with the gixxxer, so me and my brother or friends or whoever can ride together, everyone knows its more fun with someone else, anyway
-i was thinking supermoto, right? quick outta the hole, handles like a go kart, and wheelies like a dirtbike, but is it fast enough when it comes to riding interstate, or highway

-then i thought maybe somthing along the harley lines, iv always hated them, always, and most of the bad dude biker man riders that think they are tough shit, but that sure would be more comfortable than my current ride which can get uncomfortable after and hour to hour and a half,

- then as i rode my bike today and was cookin down a nice country highway about 140 and layed er into a nice "45" mph turn at 110 and scuffed my jeans on the pavement i contemplated another sportbike…

i need the opinion of someone who has owned more than one type, and what are the capabilities/ advantages of each?
