  • What main/idle jet shold I choose?

I have a 625 SXC converted into a supermoto. I have a sebring hunder slipon on it and am now going to get rid of the SAS as well as open up the air box and unhook the "CA"? and "TPS"?.
I will probably need to rejet my carb now that I get more air in, right?
What main/idle should I go for?
I believe I have the original needle in the carb.

  • smooth gas tanks

just wondering on how you guys get your plastic gas tanks so smooth to pint them and make them so glossy. are you just sanding them until smooth? that would make sense.

i ask b/c mine is rough from cuts and deeps scratches and i’m thinking of painting it, but i want the glossy look to actually look smooth.

  • trakday with steve drew

Steve Drew came out to our local track to practice for Fontana this weekend. Man is he fast in the dirt. Granted he designed the dirt section, but still…

The guy taking the pictures was focusing on Steve of course, but there are a few of the rest of us that were there too.

I’m suppose to get the pictures from another section of the track, but here is a taste.

  • PCSM Chain Guide ***MUST HAVE***

Matt over at PCSM (Prairie City Supermoto) has designed a chain guide for different bikes and are coming out with more every week. If he does not make one for your make or model yet, give him a call. He may already have it in the works.

This is a very simple, well designed, factory looking Chain Guide that anyone riding supermoto on any bike should have. ESPECIALLY at PCSM’s cheap price. It will keep your chain from slapping all over the place and keep it out of your SM wheels. Especially if you spent big dollars like I did on wheels, keeping them in decent condition might be high on your list.

Installation is as simple as, unscrew the top bolt of the factory swing arm chain slider, slide the 1/8" alum PCSM Chain Guide under the plastic stock chain slider, screw the rear stock screw back into the predrilled PCSM chain guide, mark the front hole, drill 11/64 hole, tap with proper tap, screw in front hole with supplied screw, DONE! 20min install.

Very nice work Matt. Keep up the good work.

PS. If you are running Marchesini Wheels (or any wheels) and are having issues with too much chain drag on the bottom factory chain guide (mine is 08 Honda CRF) you will notice how I chopped my bottom chain guide in half. It takes away all the chain drag but still does its job of keeping the chain out of the wheel and keeping the chain on the sproket. This is the same mod Troylee Honda does on their SM bikes.
