Tires
Has anyone used the Sava 12" rain tires for supermoto or on pavement? I got one I use on dirt and it works well, but it’s soft enough that I’m afraid it won’t survive a day of supermoto. -
New to SUMO
Hello all….Im looking to get into SUMO, and have been trying to find a XR650R for a while! I have raced motocross for 12 years and been riding street bikes for 7….im tired of my street bike and had to sell my race bike to help pay for college…SUMO looks like the most fun anyone could ever have….I have a bone stock 05 FZ6 that im trying to sell to pay for the XR which im having a hard time finding. -
Hate
Whats up with all of the arguing, hate, and fighting going on in here lately? I thought we were all supermoto brothers. Is it just me? I’ve been reading a lot of posts with way too much negativity and baby-like attitudes. I hope its just the lull of the winter months getting the best of us. We gotta stick together and not turn into what most other forums have become. -

Kids putting down some hot laps….
We made some changes to my sons suspension and his confidence went through the roof. He said he’s never felt this good about the way the bike feels and it showed. I actually pulled him off the lot cause he was scaring the crap out of me.My daughter is getting used to her new weapon, a stock KTM50 Sr. and she went to flying on it right out of the box.

xr650r rear fender options
hey guys,I’ve done some searching and only found a couple examples- all without explanation on what was entailed in the install!
I have to replace my rear fender, so I’m wondering what options I have (i.e. i want to replace w/ motocross style) but I would like to do little to no cutting and it should mount nicely/blend like stock
am I dreaming?
I just think that the stock fenders w/ an add on baja designs (or similar) tail/brake/plate holder look silly
maybe its the only way?
Thanks!

SM 610 conversion? or TE conversion?
I’m having a bad case of husky lust….. I want a TE but keep finding fairly good priced SM’s. I wouldn’t mind having a conversion for both in either case. So can someone in the know tell me if I’m correct in these presumptions?Everything is basically the same except:
SM – bigger front disk, two pot caliper, shorter fork length?
TE – smaller front disk, single pot caliper, longer forks?
Is one direction easier to convert ? Traditionally it’s better to go from TE – SM but I’d like to hear from anyone who’s actually done it.
thanks!

Trip and Odometer are off.
My odometer went up about 60 miles and the trip only went up about 45 -
power commander
all you guys with a 510sm that have power commanders. where’d ya get ‘em and were they worth the price? -
Time for a new battery…. AGAIN!!
Even with a batter tender on over the winter months in a heated garage, the battery I bought last spring is toast. Output of the tender checked out fine. I’m certain it’s the battery…What’s the BEST battery one can buy for the DRZ? Something that will last more than 6 months. This is the third Interstate I’ve had and can’t bring myself to invest in another one, just to get only a few months use out of it!!
Suggestions please…
Thanks…

First thing to break
I broke my left mirror. I wish I had some bad ass story to tell but I’m just a dumb ass that rested the bike against the garage wall. Well just a good reason to get rid of these fugly mirrors. Does anybody have any ideas what I could replace them with? -
new graphics on ma 510
sort of a mix between the 08/09 oem decals:bike:

..so I’m thinking it gives the bike a cleaner look and without the fender decals fitted doesn’t look too cluttered:hmmm:

I need corner lines of this track
Hi, could someone please paint or comment my corner lines of this track for supermoto? its a cart track, i have my first race in april 18th here. one picture is without lines(for you guys to draw if possible) and another of my lines. In the 2nd 3d 4th 5th 6th and 7th corners its more of overtaking lines as im not the fastest rider and as i’m one of the last racers i noticed its better to overtake in these lines, im very unsure about 9th corner, 11th and all up to 15th corner. Any thoughts?

shock springs
would buying a shorter stiffer spring be a better option than a lowering link and if so does anyone know where these can be purchased.
