  • Help DRZ400SM OR husqvarna 610

    I have a choice the DRZ is pretty tricked out and the 610 has only an exhaust i can get the 610 for around 4000 and the DRZ 4200. Which one should i get? I’m new to the scene but not new to Riding. Both are 2006

    I love Suk’s but i can’t shake the stories about the Husq’s

    i was needing a OEM digital speedometer for an 2007 smr510, mine has a huge crack in it and now its useless, so i was wondering if any of you all maybe had one you want to sell, because husqvarna want almost 300 for a new one and i dont want to get that cheap aftermarket one! someone, anyone please help its almost spring and i need to get my husky back out on the road with no problems

  • MX vs Street Helmets??? Preferences??

    In the market for a new helmet, been wearing an HJC full face for the past 5 years. Now that I am just riding supermoto and the weather is fixing to get nice I am really wanting a nice MX helmet. Should I be ok as long as the MX one I get is Snell & DOT approved??? Or stick to a RR helmet?? What are you guys wearing this season?? BTW I don’t like the SM style helmets like the Xd, etc. Thanks

  • KTM SMR450, Loud clutch and shifting issuses?

    Well I just picked up a 2007 SMR 450 with 7.2 hours on it. I was Drifting around in the field and I ran out of gas in 3rd.
    I rock the bike a bit but i cant get it into neutral.
    I get gas, Pull in the clutch kick once and its running. let the clutch go a little pull it in and it seems ok.
    I ride around a little more but shifting was hard it felt.
    When the bike is in Neutral with the clutch out its kinda loud
    the noise goes away when clutch is pulled in.

    -I do have fluid in my reservoir, Maybe just needs a bleeding?

    I’m a bit intimated by this bike, any input would be great

    Has anyone here had set on their bike. My girl just got me a set with the clamps, for my birthday to put on my KX 450f. They look pretty cool their extremely fat like an inch 1/2 in the center and they taper out. I was curious how the handguards will work with these ? If any of you have them on your bikes. Will post pics when, i get them installed.

    Just wondering if anyone could help me with some info on converting a 01 KTM 300exc dirtbike to a motard. Wondering what i actually have to change to have it good to go on the road.

  • 07 svx 5.5 questions

    Hey guys, I searched the forums a bit and couldnt find anything.

    07 SVX 5.5

    How reliable are these things? Ive heard as long as you do regular mainentance and use recommended fluids they are fairly reliable.

    How much power do these things have? My crf will power wheelie in every gear, will the svx be the same type of power?

    Is it true you cant do long distance trips on them?

    As far as parts go, are they somewhat cheap? Also do you use 91 oct in it?

    I will probably have some more questions later. Dealer in calgary are selling some 07s for pretty cheap. I just dont want to go through the hassle of street legaling(even a word?) the crf and I cant import ktm smrs(good ol canada). Thanks in advance guys and i know i should take one out on a test ride but weather is not permitting that for a bit.

    Astars made the Track Pants in tall sizes through 08, but appears to have discontinued them. Does anyone else make tall sizes in some good pants for the track?

    Or if you know someone with some leftover Astars from last year, lemme know…. I see where motorcycle-superstore.com has some, but they don’t have my size.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    so its pretty much impossible to get a title for one of these bikes here in wisconsin:headscrat..went to the dmv and delt with those idiots for god knows how long…:damn:i was wondering tho if i buy a bike with a street legal title from another state will that be street legal here? or am i gonna have to buy a drzm? i hear they are great bikes and whatnot but i dont wanna spend that much and i found a killer deal on a ktm. input would be great thanks!

  • Choosing tires help

    I’ve asked about tires before, but last time I had the wrong information for the wheels. If anyone could help, I would apreciate it.

    I have an Xtreme CRII that I currently have knobbies on and I’m looking to put some street tires on it. The wheels are 2.50 x 12 and I’m not sure what size tires to start looking for.

    I don’t want to do any racing, just a recreational tire that I can use on the streets.

    Found a smokin’ deal on a set of tires, but the rear is a 160/60/17…. I know I can fit a 150, but can I squeeze a 160 in there?

  • Needing Some Advice Please

    As some know I had a dealer get an 08′ 510 from the factory. I also put a $500 deposit down. They said it was already delivered and they were waiting for the power up kit and cs sprocket. (may be installed I don’t know)
    Here’s the thing they took the deposit over the phone and didn’t tell me if it was non refundable or any stipulations on the deposit.

    I had a MRI done on my right shoulder and will be having surgery when and if my bro’ can help me with work.
    MRI showed partial tear of the rotator cuff and may have a slap tear (tear of the labrum). Most likely I do.

    So I won’t be able to ride for probably 5 + months atleast. I have to have someone cover for my work unless I loose my business. So when I do find someone, sooner the better, then I willl be out of work for atleast a month and don’t know how long off of a bike.

    Needless to say, probably not a good time to buy a bike now. I haven’t signed any paper work, but they do have my deposit of $500.

    Does the dealer pay Husky after bike is sold or before? So have they already paid for the bike or not? And will I most likely loose my deposit?

    We really can’t afford any more money going out right now. Can I get out of the deal or is it too late?

    Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
