    Stateline Challenge Supermoto School

    ——————————————————————————–

We are excited to announce the Silent "H" Supermoto School @ The Stateline Supermoto Challenge April 2nd

This school is designed to help you suceed at the Stateline Challenge. Start the weekend off by learning from the best and get prepared for a great weekend. Our school will give you the chance to get on the all new track before anyone else and dial it in. You will dissect the track with Pro Coaches, and learn their speed secrets.

This is what we will be working on with you:

Supermoto Set-up: Suspension, Tires, tire pressures, general maintenance, tire warmers, and all the small things to go fast.

Braking: including trail braking, getting in and out of the corner, braking in the dirt, applying the rear brake smoothly.

Clutch Control: Learn to use the clutch to drive into the corners smooth and with confidence. The smoother you can enter the corner the faster you can exit!

Throttle Control: When to roll off the throttle and when to get on the gas!

Putting it all together: It order to get into and out of a corner quickly you have to master brake / Clutch / Throttle Control. This is the core of the class and the secret to going fast on a motorcycle.

Line selection: We will spend time talking about track mapping, walking a track and seeing how the lines link together and why.

Passing: How, where and when to pass.

Body positioning: We will work individually to get your body in the right spot on the bike. Find out what really works for supermoto.

Riding styles: Are you a road racer and have no idea what to do with that foot….we will get you comfortable with riding foot out. Look at the top Supermoto riders in the world…..not one of them rides supermoto road-race style!

And of course….Backing it in! We will teach you when and where to back it in….and when not to back it in.

    and much more…

It is all these small things that can help reduce those lap times dramatically. We have literally seen people reduce their lap time by seconds.

    Tentative Class Schedule:
    We will start at 7a.m.
    Classroom- 7am-8am
    Track Walk:8am- 8:30
    On Track School: 9am-12

  • 5280 logo for numberplates jerseys, etc

Right click and steal-em. They should be large enough for number plate graphics, jersey’s, stickers, etc…

I designed the logo voluntarily for free, but if it’s not too much trouble, i’d greatly appreciate getting any nic-nacs that you make like stickers, shirts, etc.

I can also do custom color combos if interested, just pm.

    Thanks and enjoy!

  • slipper clutch question?

I have recently purchased a 2006 sm610. Apparently it has a race/slipper clutch fitted which i believe as i was given the stock clutch when i got the bike.
I had a pillion passenger riding with me briefly yesterday and almost every time i pulled away i had quite a violent stutter. The only thing i can compare it to is the feeling i would imagine you would get if your chain was loose and it skipped a tooth on your sprocket.
This has since happened twice more on a short ride while i was riding alone.
The guy who gave my bike a service today says it is to be expected with a race clutch, is this true?
    anyone got any thoughts/explanations?
    Thanks! :bike:

  • 06 Stk Exhaust Fit A 04?

Anyone know if a 06 crf 450 stock exhaust will fit a 04 crf 450? I am worried that the pro circuit quiet tip will not bring the sound down enough to ride at pats acres. IT still seems loud to me. I have a 06 stk ehaust left over from my dirt bike but dont have a new gasket so i need to order one pronto to be able to ride this weekend. Not sure if it would be pointless though. Figure ill show up with the spare parts and tools so i can switch it over if they deem the bike too loud.

What do you guys think of this cr500 with a Husaberg tail section? I want to get one for my CR5. I had a 525smr and the tail looks similar to the Berg. I’m pretty sure the one in this picture is off a Berg, but I want to be sure before I order. Anybody know for sure….?

  • Husqvarna crank wanted 450 or 510

Well, got the call today about the knocking engine and it’s not good. I’m now in need of a crank and connecting rod for my SMR450 :-(

Putting a call out to anyone who has one for sale. Either a 450 or 510 crank/rod will do. New is nice, but a good strong used one will do.

I have no idea on the cost of a new one, so if someone wants to enlighten me, feel free. Considering what I paid for a simple slave cylinder, I know it won’t be good.

Believe it or not, the piston and cylinder is still perfect. Go figure.

  • What to wear????

I’m looking to get rid of the Joe Rocket mesh (armored) jacket for something that offers a little more protection on the street. What are your thoughts???

I’ve been looking at an impact rig (back, shoulders, elbows, chest, etc) protector. I really like the Troy Lee Designs leather one, or really any impact rig set up. Does anyone wear one of these? How are they for normal everyday riding?

The other is a nice Joe Rocket 5.0 leather jacket with all the armor in it. I’m in Dallas, so heat is a factor. This jacket is a perforated leather jacket.

What do you think would be better for normal everyday riding? I usually commute on the bike and let’s face it….squid it when I get a chance to. Which is safer, and which makes more sense for daily use? Would you get both for the extra protection or would just one be safe?
