Pacific GP – Curbing is in
They have got the curbing in at Pacific, must mean pavement is coming sometime in the near future.First practice day is??
Everyone that wants to ride at Pacific needs to send them a PM via there website to let them know just how important supermoto is to the viability of the track – lets show them how many customers they can expect by giving us track time. Seems odd that opening day is only a month away and they don’t have SM practice day on the scedule yet. Lets give them an earful of cheers to see if we can get some track time first thing when this place opens. I know WHR/SMUSA guys are working on the racing side, hopefully they will get some race dates in the near future locked in. I still say eveyone should contact them privately to let them know we would like to see regular practice days worked into the scedule regardless of the racing.
Cheers

What’s it worth?
Guys,Just a feeler here………
I came across another project that I am highly interested in so I ‘m wondering if I could get some opinions on what my bike is worth. It is a 2007 Honda CR 125R with ONE INDUSTRIES bodywork, ACERBIS Cyclops headlight, Renthal Fat Bars, reupholstered seat, JD Jet Kit, and Pro Circuit Nature Friendly silencer. Have all stock bodywork also. This bike has a street legal title and 99 actual street driven miles on the engine. Never ridden in dirt. PM me for more details.
Here are pics in reverse order of buildup:

DRZ jetting help/question
ok so i picked up a 05 DRZsm that has a full yosh exhaust and K&N air filter. Im pretty sure it hasnt been jetted (previous owner didnt know for sure because he didnt put the exhaust on). It pops on decell REALLY bad. also unless you are hard on the throttle in any gear its kicks and sputters. Am i correct in thinking it has not been jetted? Also is the DRZ very hard to jet? I am located just south west of indianapolis, IN so that give you an idea of elevation (i think about 800ft above sea)any insight would be great guys and thanks in advance.:D

drz carbon fiber body intrest?
hello guys…..i picked up my 05 DRZSM today and ever since i saw them i have been thinking it would look good with an all carbon fiber body. I saw the guy that has done it and it looks good. I will be doing my own as i have done ALOT of fiberglass/carbon work before. my real question is if i made molds of all the body panels to make carbon fiber pieces is there really any interest in making more for other DRZ owners to buy? I know right now anything carbon fiber is $$$$$$$$$$$$. Just by looking at prices of materials and how quick i think i can get it done what would you guys be willing to pay?Of course nothing is done yet….but if there is enough interest i would start right away on the molds. If there really isnt then i will probly wait until later in the season to make just my own carbon fiber body.

Got me DRZSM
well today i made the trip to get my 05 DRZSM from a fellow board member (hrc nick 11 thanks again! ). I feel like i got a great deal ($2800) for a bike with about 6k on the clock. Its got a few trick dodads here and there but she needs jetted HORRIBLY. if your not flogging the piss out of it then it sputters and kicks. Is setting up the jetting pretty easy on the DRZ? Flat out motorcycles is just down the street from me and they got 2 AWESOME guys at jetting. Im gonna do a few custom touches and change a few things to suit me better but the bike seems ok to me at the moment. I didnt get to ride it too much because its like 45mph winds right now and sand all over the roads. heres the pics -
Appearance Mods… Lets here some suggestions…
My 06 SM is coming today and I wanted to get a head start on getting the tail light. And maybe a new headlight… I’m thinking about the trail tech X2…I haven’t read or seen many posts about it here or any where… Does anyone have it on their DRZ? How hard was the install?
I’m also looking at the Cyclops. I have read a lot about a rubber strap, can anyone explain?
This bike will be used mostly on road 90% of the time.
I’m also thinking about a new seat, but I think I will wait and see how I can handle the stocker…
Any other suggestions about appearance mods?
What about hand guards? sliders?
Thanks for any help…
Chet P.

Here she is…
Well, it got here earlier today… Thought I would snap a few pics before the modding begins…Here are the two that the seller sent me…

After 300 miles, she’s here. The seller brought it up this morning… I hate rain…

It is my first Suzuki… I’ve been a Kawasaki man…
I hope to start my modding adventure by getting rid of that terrible rear light system…Chad

Nearest dealer 200+ miles away…worth it?
Hey guys,I really like the husky sm 450r but the fact that the closest dealer is more than 200 miles away basically forces me to not even consider getting a husky. What do you guys think about purchasing a husky with a dealer so far away?

Tutorial==> Préparation moteur {lumière d’échappement}

Got my DR today!!
So I got my new (well new to me) SM today. This is my first one and I am excited. I do have a few questions though. I have been reading a lot about these James Dean jet kits. Mine has an FMF jet kit on it now. It is running good. Should I switch to a JD. Will I see a difference. My bike already has the 3×3, and a Yoshi pipe(not sure what model). Also, I want to get a header for it. I can not seem to find a Yoshi header, so can I but one of the FMF powerbomb headers and will it fit? Are they any good? Thanks for the help!! -
HELP! any knowledge on heads
I have an 04 crf250r, we need a new head for it, will an ‘06 head fit and work on it?? thanks!!! -
Got my new MRD Pipe
My new MRD pipe for my ‘04 CRF450R showed up today! When I opened the box, I was very impressed with the quality. I was even more impressed when I went to install it. Fit was dead on! The fit was FAR better than either aftermarket pipe (a Big Gun and a Yosh) I have had the fun of installing on my DRZ.One thing I am very happy about is that it seems to tuck in a bit closer up front on the head pipe. I didn’t swap pipes thinking I was going to lose any weight, after all the stock system is pretty darn light. I was pleased to find that the MRD pipe came in at 2oz lighter than stock. The MRD head pipe is heavier, being stainless, but the mid pipe/muffler was a good 10oz lighter than stock.
The sound is also nice. Its a bit loud, but I think my DRZ is still louder. Besides the volume, I really like the deepness in the tone. Much throatier than stock.
I only got to make a quick trip up and down my street, but it definitely feels different. I can’t wait to get it on the track on the 26th.
