  • cr500 supermoto

    have been thinking about building my rm250 but cant stop thinking about the 500. Now i found a fair price on a cr500 locally and its got me thinking. Its a 96 model. Im not sure what year would be the best but seems like i have read that the 96 model has the bigger forks.

    Are there any reasons i should hold out for a newer bike?

  • diff. tranny gears for 06′ wr450

    Anyone at all ever changed the individual transmission gears. Ive looked into it but i dont know the countershaft ratio’s, or anyone who makes different gears. the only reason I need them is Im maxed out on the sprocket sizes 16 front 40 back, and still enough motor for more speed.

    j’ai des petits questions consernant la saison qui s’envient tres vite

    Premièment merci et félécitaions a Francois Cominard qui s’occupe de set organisation

    - faut-il avoir une carte de saison pour paticiper au course

    - combien peut couter une inscription (environ)

    - il y a tu d’autre place pour les info course que le forum SMQ (pour les personne qui sont pas fort sur l’internet)

    - les course qu’il a seulement le dimanche de noter, sais tu parce-que les pratiquer et les course se fond la même journée

    - le 30 mai les personne qui ne participe pas a l’école de moto (vtt exemple) aurrons pas accès a la piste … juste le dimanche pour la journée de course

    - 21 juin et le 16 août … où et quand nous le saurrons

    - le supermoto X fest pour les accès au site et les inscriptions surement comme les année passer et avec des pré-inscriptions

    -les Vtt ils aurras que du pro … ouvert a tous, les pneu de surperquad son tu accepter

    se sont des petits questions que je me demendais et je ne dois pas être le seul
    si il y a des reponces ca serais interressent, si non … je vais attendre a l’été

  • DRZ400SM rear pegs, help me out?

    Anyone else remove the rear pegs from their DRZ? I did, and I thought it really cleaned it up nice……. Unfortunately, my girlfriend didn’t- she had a pretty serious sense of humor failure on this issue. For what ever reason, she liked riding on it occasionally. I threw mine away, and have been in the dog house ever since. I’d like to buy some rear pegs w/brackets if anyone has some they are willing to part with…. Please send me a message if you do. Thanks-

  • Paying for Premium, getting Regular…

    I feel like this is one of my OCD moments, but when I think about it, it really makes sense. Try to follow me on this one:

    It takes me about 8 seconds to fuel up the WR250x, usually around 3 dollars with Premium gasoline. Most people, however, fill up their cars with regular gasoline out of the same pump. When they are done, the regular gasoline is still up to the tip of the pump device.

    So when I chose "Premium Gas" and I put it on my wrx, by the time that the premium gas reaches the exit of the pump, I’m already full. So basically, I paid for Premium, but only got the remaining regular from the last car who filled up.

    For that reason I always try to find stations that have separate fuel pumps for different grades…

    Does this make sense? Or is it just a dumb pet peeve of mine? What do you guys think?

  • Broke a carb line HELP

    I was trying to put my carb lines into a catch can and a line on the right side of the carb (right side of bike), the one lowest on the right, above the float bowl, the plastic thing broke off with the little copper head sticking out. I tried to stick it back in, but the little copper piece just pushes back into the tiny black plastic piece. Any suggestions?? I was thinking of just getting a larger circumferance line and just sticking it onto the carb itself but I don’t if that would work. Does this sound like an easy fix, something I could pick up from a local shop?

    i have a 08 husky smr510. when i rip through gears to get to top speed, as i get to the upper end of my gears i get bad head shake. can there be a suspension adjustment? or do i need a steering damper like they have on sportbikes to settle the head wobble down?

    Ok so before the safety capos come running let me just say this.. Im aware that listening to music while riding puts the rider in more danger than he / she would be without listening to music. I understand that.

    Id like to know who, or if anyone does listen to music while they ride – ive thought about it a few times when having to ride for longer than and hour on highways but never actually did it.

  • 2005 450exc help

    Quick ? for you guys. I am looking to pick up a 2005 450exc that I will be converting to SM. The previous owner says that the bike is fine except the clutch squeales when taking off and the front brakes seem to loose pressure after it has sat for awhile. I’m just wondering if these are problems I should be concerened with or common characteristics of this bike. He says the bike has less then 750miles on it and it looks clean except for a dented exhaust header so I can’t imagine the clutch has seen that much abuse.

    He also never titled it (not required for off road in Va until 2006) so I was wondering if anyone has experience getting a fresh street title for somthing like this.

    I haven’t seen the bike in person but am hopeing to test it out sometime next week. I’ll run a search for the normal stuff the check for but is there anything trouble areas specific to this bike that I should inspect.
